You may not have heard from us recently, but a lot has been going on behind the scenes at the SCP.

On the one hand, we have been working on the website. In order to make the Swiss Coffin Project and our research more accessible, the website is now available in English. We have also created new content to provide you with more information on the Egyptian collections in Swiss museums. Under the heading “Museums”, you will find a map of Switzerland showing the museums taking part in the project. Each museum and its Egyptian collection are introduced in a short text. The objects that will feature in the SCP Publications series are specifically mentioned.

On the other hand, work on the publication dedicated to the coffins from Bab el-Gasus in Swiss museums is progressing steadily. In our next blog, we will provide an overview of the content and authors of the publication.
